Neighbourhood — part of Bristol Gallery Weekend

We're putting on an exhibition of print works based on the theme ‘Neighbourhood' and we want you to apply. We want prints created by many artistic styles and approaches, from printmakers young or old, seasoned or fresh, entering old works or new pieces.

The theme is to reflect on the parts of ‘Neighbourhood' that feel sustaining, supportive, familiar, hopeful and good.

Neighbourhood
People, buildings, vibes, communities, streets, tower blocks, parks, shops, local, old town or new skool, ends, district, locals, neighbours, friends, home. Etc.

Note: This list is suggestive rather than prescriptive — subtle, abstract or unexpected connections are very welcome.

The exhibition will take place at Print Paradiso (your friendly neighbourhood screen print studio) on East St, Bedminster, from March 20 to April 5.

The exhibition is being promoted as part of the Bristol Gallery Weekend event (March 19-22). We will have an opening night party on Friday 20 March, with drinks and music and good cheer.

Email in a JPEG of your artwork to exhibition@printparadiso.co.uk — no bigger than 3mb please.
Images are for selection purposes only; selected works will be delivered in person
Include your name, the title of the artwork, dimensions of the artwork, method used to make it, email address, edition count — if relevant, price and any other information you feel relevant
Max size A2. Min size A6
Artists can submit up to 3 prints for consideraton
Print Paradiso is a screenprinting studio, and screenprinted work will be central to the exhibition. Other print methods are very welcome, and we are also open to considering work by non-printmakers where it fits the spirit of the show
We will be able to sell editions of prints. Depending on size of exhibition we work out stocking methods. Print Paradiso will take 35% commission on sales.
Sales will be settled after the exhibition closes
Work will be hung on walls via bulldog clips and nails (not through prints). If you are able and willing to provide your work framed, we may be able to accommodate framed works
Works will be selected by Print Paradiso based on how they respond to the theme and work together as an exhibition

Dates

Submission deadline: Sunday 22 February 10pm
Selection announced: Tuesday 3 March
Work to be dropped off between Wednesday 4 March and Saturday 14 March
Private view: Friday 20 March

Costs

There is no fee for submitting to the exhibition
If artwork is selected, there will be a £10 fee per physical print exhibited, to help cover exhibition costs
